Anderson SCDC Release Destinations
No SCDC institution was identified as operating in Anderson County. An Anderson defendant sentenced to state prison may be assigned anywhere in the statewide system. Leaving the Anderson County jail for SCDC is a transfer, not community release. SCDC then becomes the custodian for prison location, sentence administration, projected dates, institutional movements, and the eventual prison release or discharge event.
An SCDC departure can lead to parole, probation, supervised reentry, community supervision, sentence expiration, another detainer, or another custody agency. The release type must be read exactly as displayed. A state release row does not prove that all supervision ended, and it does not supply the earlier Anderson County jail exit time. The list can verify an SCDC departure associated with Anderson. Reconcile the listed type with SCDPPPS and any detainer. A supervision-related type is not an unconditional discharge. For an older event outside the useful public date query or for detail beyond the table, use SCDC records.
Anderson SCDC Projected Release Date
SCDC defines “Projected Release Date” as its estimate of when all incarcerated terms will be satisfied, based on sentence type and the assumption that work, education, and good-time credits continue at the current rate. The date can change after disciplinary credit loss, restored credits, sentence correction, new consecutive terms, changed jail credit, or appellate action. A detainer can produce transfer instead of release to the community.
“Projected Parole Eligibility” is different. It marks possible eligibility or, on some records, a scheduled hearing. Eligibility is not a promise of parole. South Carolina Release Credit Rules
South Carolina's rules vary by offense and sentence. Under Title 24, chapter 13, a covered no-parole offense generally cannot result in release, discharge, or community supervision until at least 85 percent of the actual prison term has been served. That floor applies to the statutory category, not every sentence. It is not the same as the separate 80 percent work-release threshold.
Eligible prisoners outside the no-parole category may receive twenty days of good-conduct credit for each month served. A covered no-parole prisoner receives three days per month, without reducing service below statutory minima. Productive-duty and education credits also depend on the category and may be forfeited. These rules explain why a displayed estimate moves, but they should not be used to recalculate one person's term.
The official SCDC record controls. Present any projected date with the observation date and refer disputes to Inmate Records. A county jail cannot authoritatively calculate the final SCDC release after transfer, just as SCDC cannot provide the county's earlier door time.

The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services search accepts specified combinations of name, SID, county, and birth year and reflects prior-day data. A match can show community supervision after SCDC release. A person no longer supervised may disappear, so absence does not establish the earlier prison release date.

Ask only for public status and the responsible office. An absconder listing alleges loss of supervision contact; it does not prove current jail custody or a new conviction.
